About the Publication

Ebalon Journal is an independent editorial publication exploring everyday supplementation habits, nutritional awareness, and active lifestyle choices for men. The publication is not affiliated with any commercial, governmental, or institutional body.

The editorial position of Ebalon Journal is one of observation and reportage. Articles document what published nutritional research observes, what active men report in their supplement journals, and how the relationship between daily nutrition and physical output unfolds across consistent practice. The journal does not advocate specific products, endorse commercial supplement brands, or represent the nutritional needs of any individual reader.

The publication was founded in Jakarta, Indonesia, in 2025, responding to a gap in Indonesian English-language editorial content on men’s supplementation habits. The bulk of internationally published content on this subject either targets Western markets without acknowledgement of local dietary patterns, or presents findings in a register that prioritises commercial interests over independent observation. Ebalon Journal aims to address both limitations.

Marcus Chen
Founding Editor

Marcus Chen founded Ebalon Journal after a period of sustained personal interest in men’s nutritional habits and the gap between published nutritional research and practical daily routines. His editorial work reflects a reportorial approach: observing patterns across published literature, active men’s supplement journals, and the broader nutritional awareness landscape for men.

Prior to founding Ebalon Journal, Marcus worked in editorial research in Singapore and Melbourne, developing an approach to wellness content that prioritises evidence-informed observation over commercial interest. He relocated to Jakarta in 2024, where the combination of urban professional lifestyle patterns and limited local English-language coverage of men’s nutritional habits provided the editorial context for the publication.

His primary editorial interests are supplement stacking habits, the relationship between physical output and nutritional balance, and how active men in urban Southeast Asian contexts build sustainable daily wellness routines.

Reza Pratama
Contributing Writer

Reza Pratama is a Jakarta-based writer and researcher with a background in nutritional awareness and active lifestyle documentation. He contributes to Ebalon Journal with a focus on the Indonesian context: how locally available food sources relate to supplement needs, how urban professional schedules affect nutritional habits, and how active men in Indonesia build and sustain their supplement routines.

Reza’s writing approach is grounded in pattern observation. He is particularly attentive to the points at which popular supplement narratives diverge from what published nutritional research actually documents, and he writes to close that gap in accessible, editorial language.

His contributions to Ebalon Journal focus on omega-3, zinc, B vitamins, and the relationship between whole food dietary variety and supplement selection in active men’s routines.
